ELECTIONS AND ETHICS COMMITTEE:

The Village Elections Committee is responsible for planning, managing and overseeing the annual Village Council Elections. The Village Charter requires that the Village Council appoint a minimum of three residents to the Committee. The appointed committee members are as follows:

LAND USE TASK FORCE

The Village of Martin’s Additions’ Land Use Task Force was created by the Village Council in January of 2008 to examine and consider how new zoning powers granted to municipalities might be used to effect the construction and dimensions of houses in Martin’s Additions. This effort was driven by the “mansionization” occurring throughout our area. The Task Force has been working with Jakubiak & Associates, an urban planning consultant group hired by the Village, to explore the many facets of building regulations.

The Village of Martin’s Additions is the third local community to study these issues. Both Chevy Chase Village and the Town of Chevy Chase have recently completed their examination and have adopted new building regulations tailored to their communities.
