Trash & Recycling

The Village contracts with an independent waste contractor for regular trash and recycling pick-up. Household trash is collected from residents’ cans at the side or rear of each house twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. Recyclable materials—organic yard debris/grass clippings/leaves in brown leaf bags; mixed paper & cardboard bundled or in ordinary paper bags; glass bottles/cans/plastic containers in blue recycling bin provided by the Village—are collected once a week at the curb on Wednesdays. Bulk/heavy trash is collected from the curb on the second Saturday of every month. Trash is not collected on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day & Christmas Day. Thanksgiving Day trash pick-up occurs the following day.
