Street Cleaning

Village streets are cleaned twice in the Fall and twice in the Spring. The Village contracts with an independent contractor to provide this service. Residents are given notice of street cleaning via newsletter, e-mail, and signs that are placed along the Village streets several days in advance of street cleaning. Residents are requested to move their vehicles off the streets when cleaning is scheduled. PLEASE NOTE: As our streets are narrow, the Village does NOT vacuum residents’ leaves from the streets. Paper Leaf bags are provided to residents for bagging of leaves. The leaf bags are collected as part of the regular recycling pick-up on Wednesdays. DO NOT pile leaves in the streets—this creates a fire hazard and parking obstruction.
