Brookville Rd. Repaving

Brookville Road, the State Highway (RT.186) that runs through our community, was completely rebuilt from the bottom up!  Work began in early May and was completed in June, 2011. Federal stimulus monies were the primary source of funding for these repairs. Work began with repair of underlying utilities such as water and sewer lines, which was then followed by tree trimming to allow for the milling machines to pass, utility adjustments to the surface, actual milling and then application of asphalt.  Then came the redrawing of crosswalks and stop bars. The final step, repainting the lane markings, is slated for completion by June 30.
