Your Service List

 

Over 60 recommendations and reviews on everything from plumbers to mechanics from our Martin’s Additions listserv are now organized on www.YourServiceList.org . These recommendations were culled from our historical files by creators Steve Conley, (formerly of Cummings Lane) and business partner Dom Fuccillo. They used that information to create “YourServiceList.Org”. Imagine being able to just go to a website and find the plumber your neighbor recommended but whose email you deleted. You can also recommend providers yourself (anonymously) and rate ones already on the site (also anonymously, if you wish.) As a community we can expand our own service list based on our own experiences. In addition to always having preferred and recommended service providers at your finger tips, you can also receive information about deals, called Group Deals, being offered by any number of the service providers. This benefits vendors because they can schedule a number of visits in the neighborhood on one day, saving them travel time. These notices come only once a week. If you decide that you don’t want to receive the deal of the week you can opt out of that offering. Recently a highly recommended window washer offered a 20% discount to members of the Chevy Chase Village service list because they had multiple jobs in the Village neighborhood. We can benefit this way also! Your participation is absolutely FREE, and your name and email address will be protected at all times. 2. Enter martin’s additions in the neighborhood field (this is case sensitive and should be entered exactly as written here).

3. Enter your email address in the “join a neighborhood” field and then create a password of your choosing. You’re signed up! (Creating an account is the only way to make sure only Martin’s Additions residents can access the website)

4. Now you can view the recommendations and reviews that your neighbors have already posted. Residents can help build this list by adding their own referrals and reviews. www.YourServiceList.org can also be shared with friends and neighbors. The more providers there are to choose from, the more savings Martin’s Additions residents will be able to enjoy.
