CHIPPER TRUCK TO CLEAR STORM DEBRIS
The chipper truck has been scheduled to come through the Village to clean up residential storm debris on Tuesday, March 16th under the direction and supervision of Paul Wolfe of Integrated Plant Care.
Here are the Guidelines:
- Please place storm debris as close to the curb as you can, in piles facing the street. Take care not to block the sidewalk.
- Large ends (the butt end) of branches should face the street.
- Chipper can handle branches and limbs up to 12” in diameter. Length is generally not an issue but it cannot chip-up entire trees. The truck will be able to chip bamboo.
- No old log piles or construction debris please. Storm debris only.
A few other notes:
- Heavy trash will be picked up Saturday, March 13th.
- If you need to bring in a tree service to clean up your property, please have them remove the debris they create.
- Waste Management will pick up yard waste packed into brown yard waste bags or yard waste cans, every Monday, as usual. Generally it is easier to use the brown bags for loose and smaller yard debris; use the chipper truck for the bigger stuff. Additional brown bags are available from the Village Office (301-656-4112).
